Accessibility Statement
Last updated October 2026
Every family should be able to reach their loved one's memorial, and every visitor should be able to read a hero's story. Memories of Honor is committed to making this platform usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Standards we aim for
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we have done
The platform uses clear heading structure, descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, keyboard-accessible navigation and controls, sufficient colour contrast, readable text sizes, and layouts that reflow on phones and tablets.
Known limitations
Some archival photographs and documents uploaded by families may not yet carry written descriptions. Some older memorial content may not be fully structured for screen readers. The interactive memorial map and content embedded from other services may not be fully accessible. We are working through these areas over time.
Tell us about a barrier
If you meet a barrier anywhere on this platform, please email us at contact@memoriesofhonor.org with the page you were on and what happened. We will work with you to give you the information you need, and we will fix the barrier where we can.
