Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026
Memories of Honor ("we", "us") is a nonprofit organization that honors fallen service members and deceased veterans. This policy explains what information we collect on this memorial platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you create an account we collect your name and email address. When you register a hero or claim a memorial, we collect the details you provide — the service member's name, rank, branch, dates, photographs, biography, and your relationship to them. When you leave a tribute, we collect your name, an optional email address, and the message you write. When a relative is invited into a family circle, we collect that person's name and email address.
Information collected automatically
We record basic technical information when a memorial page is viewed — which page was viewed, a timestamp, a session identifier, the referring page, and the browser type — so we can understand how many people visit each memorial. We do not sell this information.
How we use it
We use this information to publish and maintain memorial pages, to let families manage the memorial of their loved one, to display tributes that have been approved, to send account, invitation and support emails, and to keep the platform secure and working.
Who can see it
Memorial pages are public by design — that is how a hero's story is carried forward. Details shared inside a family circle are visible only to that family and to our administrators. Tributes are reviewed before they appear publicly. Email addresses are never displayed on a memorial page.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to host the platform, store uploaded files, and deliver email. They process information only on our behalf and only for those purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete information, to remove a memorial, or to stop emailing you at any time. Email us at contact@memoriesofhonor.org and we will help.
Children
This platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.
